Report + photos from the Alumni event at LEGIA

On April 2, 2022, another very successful event organized by the Warsaw-Illinois Executive MBA Alumni Association and Executive MBA @ UW took place at THE BOX at the Legia Warszawa stadium. About 110 graduates and students of the EMBA @ UW program participated in the meeting. The official part was led by Sylwester Wybranowski and Krzysztof Pajączek, respectively the President and Vice President of the Association.

The speeches were inaugurated by a special guest, prof. dr hab. Grzegorz Karasiewicz - Dean of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, and later Dr. Tomasz Ludwicki - Director of the Executive MBA @ UW Program took the floor.

Then we had the pleasure of listening to the following speeches:

Marcin Herra - Managing Vice President of Legia Warszawa S.A. "Legia Warszawa: key areas of activity, response to the difficult situation and directions for further development"

and

Stefana Karmaza - CEO of Vectio Sp. z o.o. - "Practical application of artificial intelligence in digital transformation"

They were followed by speeches by other partners of the event, ie Łukasz Zaparty from TMFlot Toyota Cygan and Paweł Głuch from Ipopema.

During the break in the Legia Warszawa-Lechia Gdańsk match, a lively auction of items took place, the proceeds of which were allocated to help Ukraine. We were bidding on 3 sets of original T-shirts and mugs with the Illinois logo, 2 vouchers for the weekend with Toyota, a photo of a Ukrainian model and a match jersey of Artur Jędrzejczyk with the autographs of all Legia players. And the last subject of the auction aroused the most emotions and was auctioned to the amount of PLN 7,000. In total, during the auction, we collected PLN 10,750. For this amount, which we have increased from the Association's funds to PLN 12,000, medicines will be purchased for the needy in Lutsk and Zhytomyr in Ukraine.

An atmospheric place, interesting performances, excellent catering, a little alcohol, Legia's victory with Lechia 2:1, all these elements made the participants very pleased with their participation in this event. It was also conducive to integration and building relationships.
