On Saturday, June 25, 2022, the Student Graduation ceremony of the XXVIII edition of the Executive MBA @ UW program took place at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw. This event was special because it could take place without COVID-19 restrictions on the number of invited guests. Thanks to this, our graduates could invite their families and friends to celebrate the end of the program and the receipt of the diploma together.
J.M. Rector of the University of Warsaw, prof. dr hab. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Dean of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw prof. dr hab. Grzegorz Karasiewicz, director of the MBA @ UW program, Dr. Tomasz Ludwicki, general director of the Żabka network, Dr. Adam Manikowski, who gave an occasional lecture and president of the Association of Alumni, Sylwester Wybranowski. We were also honored with the presence of special guests, including prof. Nicholas Petruzzi, prof. Mieczysław Grudziński as well as the families and friends of the Graduates and the Collegium Musicum UW choir.
The welcome speech was given by J.M. the rector of the University of Warsaw, who referred to the economic challenges facing Poland and the world, and how education at the University of Warsaw, and in particular on the MBA program, can help in understanding them and taking action. After the welcome speech, prof. dr hab. Grzegorz Karasiewicz, the Dean of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, invited Dr. Adam Manikowski, a graduate of the 16th edition of EMBA @ UW, the managing director of the Żabka chain of stores, to deliver a special lecture. He told the participants of the ceremony about his experiences in building his career. Dr. Manikowski identified several turning points and risky decisions that he made that had a positive effect on his actions. Drawing conclusions from these situations, he shared with Alumni some "golden tips" that helped him get out of the comfort zone, giving him the opportunity to go a step higher in his career.
After the speeches, it is time to hand out the awards and diplomas. Special congratulations are due to the Students who received the award for the highest grade average.

After the awarding of diplomas, the singing of the Gaude Mater Polonia hymn by the excellent Chamber Choir of the Collegium Musicum of the University of Warsaw, awards were given to the best lecturers selected by anonymous voting by the Students.

After the awards ceremony, the representatives of the groups gave short speeches, in which they summed up their study time, thanked their relatives for their support, and also thanked their colleagues from the bench for a wonderful time.

After these thanks, Sylwester Wybranowski, president of the WIEMBA Alumni Association and EMBA @ UW, congratulated the newly minted Graduates, inviting them to participate in many interesting and attractive activities conducted by the Association (alumni.org.pl).
The official part of the ceremony ended with a speech given by Dr. Tomasz Ludwicki, director of EMBA @ UW. Next, the graduates were invited to a snack at the EMBA @ UW rooms at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw, to "say goodbye" to the Faculty in a less formal atmosphere, and in the evening our graduates celebrated their successes at a ball organized by the WIEMBA Alumni Association and EMBA @ UW.
